How I made my PSA
The first thing I did when I was making my PSA was to first acknowledge the goal I wanted to achieve with that PSA. After I had acknowledged my goal, I set on making a script that was aimed at my target audience. After making my script, I found pictures that related to the subject of that script. After that, I put the pictures on movie maker and added the text when necessary. After I had put the pictures in order, I did the voice over of my script for my project. However, the voice over ended up being too long, so I had to edit the clips in Sound Forge so it could fit within the required length.

How to Write a PSA
The article on how to write a PSA was very helpful in making sure we understand key details on writing an effective PSA. The article emphasizes the importance of 7 different things. One the PSA must have a goal that you are trying to accomplish. Another thing that the PSA must do is attract the attention of your target audience. The next thing it should do is speak to the audience in their own language and relate to the audience's lives. It is important for the PSA to deliver a single core message and deliver the message with clarity.The last and most important thing that a PSA should do is motivate the audience to act, because this is what we want to accomplish with the PSA.
The article was really helpful in organizing all of the things I need to make sure my PSA does so it is successful.

PSA Brainstorming
The type of psa I will have will most likely be a text that is reinforced with a background visual of natural environments. I will most likely have soft music as well. The text will serve as the main way to communicate the message and the background and music will establish the setting and topic of the psa. In the PSA i will be talking about the problems of inefficient homes and how it affects environmental sustainability, then I will transition to how you can find more information to fix this problem in the end.

Begin preliminary identification of Presentation Capstone elements.
i. My project will not include props. I will need a laptop and possibly a projector in order to present my database.
ii. I will probably use an easel stand to present poster material
iii. I will not be fabricating a model of 3d prototype, but I will have an online database.
iv. Appropriate dress will most likely be a suit or a button-up shirt with a tie and slacks.
v. Important points will be how my project can help homeowners and the environment.
vi. I may use a brochure to present my projects.
vii. I will have a website that my end product will be on and that will also help in presenting my product.

Thinking Ahead on PSA

Capstone Project Statement of Intent
1.) The goals of my senior capstone project is to educate on the importance of environmental sustainability and home efficiency and also guide people into improving their homes energy efficiency with a database of home improvement projects. The purpose of this is to allow people to improve their home while still maintaining a budget.
2.) There are many reasons to improve a home's efficiency. An energy efficiency home not only saves energy, it also saves the homeowner money in the long run.. Not only that, an energy efficient home is also going to help promote environmental sustainability because it uses less energy.
3.) I am pursuing a career as an electrical engineer and this is related to my goals because energy efficiency is also extremely important for an electrical engineer. As an electrical engineer, it is extremely important to increase the energy efficiency of electrical circuits on both a large and small scale.
4.) My project gives back to society by providing a database of home improvement projects that homeowners can do by themselves to increase their home's efficiency and lower their energy bill. Not only that, it will provide an estimate cost of the projects based on location so homeowners have an idea on how to fit home improvement projects into their budgets.
